On fahrenheit128.com, I'm the woman-about-town. I love to meet people and have in-depth conversations with folks I hardly know. I'm good at making connections and am very passionate about spreading the word about people/things I admire.
What I'd like to contribute to Fahrenheit128 - take pictures that capture the talent and spirit of creative forces at large and progress into a creative, open, and focused writer.
Musically my tastes vary quite a bit, though I have a soft spot for Mark Lanegan (He of the deep, whiskey-and-cigarettes voice). He's spanned the genres with his amazing original work (solo work being my favorite) solo and with the Screaming Trees, covers of gospel standards and americana classics, and contributions to groups such as Queens of the Stone Age and Greg Dulli-led Twilight Singers. Aside from Lanegan, I enjoy some Seattle-area bands (Sonic Youth, Mudhoney, Pearl Jam, Guardian Alien, Sunny Day Real Estate) and my current favorite artists are John Frusciante, dredg, Eyes Adrift, Blind Melon, Jolie Holland, The Migraines and Social Distortion. I could go on and on all sparkly-eyed about bands that make me feel happier every time I see them. I'm definitely open to discovering new sounds and would say I'm drawn most to individuality, passion, drive, and talent. |
