I'm reviewing this show on its 11th aniversary...why, you ask? Well, because I just got off work, it's Halloween, and this is a damn good Nirvana bootleg. The source is A quality soundboard, so no problems there. This is one of those film the band in concert deals, so the band is a little pumped (not totally jaded at this point) and the Seattle crowd is ready for a big time show. Nirvana delivers. The set starts off with "Jesus Don't Want Me for a Sunbeam" and proceeds with slew of fast rockers that culminate with the classic"Endless, Nameless" stage destruction routine. Kurt's vocals and everyone's playing are 'on'. As usual Kurt doesn't say much, but Krist and Dave keep things entertaining between songs. Dave calls the audience lame for not wearing costumes, and Krist says "white boy funk sucks" after a short base jam and before the band goes into "Smells Like Teen Spirit."

This is definitely one of my favorite Nirvana bootlegs. The setlist, sound quality, energy, and Krist being Krist all make this show really great. One of the amazing things about this show is that Nirvana actually does an encore. At the beginning of the encore, Kurt says "this song is about hairy, sweaty, macho, redneck men...who rape" and then proceeds to perform an awesome version of "Rape Me". A quick rockin version on Territorial Pissings follows and then the climax of the show an insane "Endless, Nameless". It's actually the full "Endless, Nameless" with words and everything, not just the set destruction jam thing.

To the collector, this is a must own show. To the bootleg novice who thought Wishkah was cool, you'll love this show. If you're not sure how good this show is check out the video "Live! Tonight! Sold Out!". The versions of "About A Girl," "Polly," "Breed," and "Endless, Nameless" on that video are taken from this show.

How I would rate this album (F-A+):

Sound Quality (source) - A (soundboard)
Setlist - A+
Performance - A+
Overall Score - A+
