6-20-95 is a must own show if you're a PJ collector. This show is avaliable on video and audio and I highly recommend both. The first five songs of the set are played with the band members sitting in folding chairs (except for Stone who gets restless). The highlight of these first five is Jeremy which is played slower than usual with redundant clean rhythm guitar providing a musial base for the song. You may have heard this version before...it's pretty well circulated. As the night moved on things sped up as you can see by the amazing setlist. This show occurs at kind pivitol moment in PJ history...you may recall the whole Ticketmaster thing..., and Pearl Jam play like they have something to prove. I think what they're trying to prove is that they're mature, a force to be reckoned with, and they can still rock an ampitheater. The performance is amazing with plenty of Ed's ramblings and ranting. Ed is awesome. There is no reason not to get this show, because you can trade PJ concerts for free :-) How I would rate this album (F-A+): Sound Quality (source) - B+ (unknown, probably DAT) Setlist - A+ Performance - A+ Overall Score - A+ |
