Rilo Kiley - This concert was my first Rilo Kiley experience. I was pretty skeptical before hand, but I came away quite impressed. I was fortunate enough to meet them and converse (a little) with them before the show, and they are all very nice, kind of soft spoken people. On-stage, their sound was clear and crisp, with a nice ratio of clean guitar and guitar effects. |

This show will always be one of the most memorable nights of my life (for all pure and good reasons I assure you). My wife (then girlfriend) and I are both quite the Pearl Jam fans, and this was the first Pearl Jam concert for both of us…not to mention Sonic Youth. The setlist of this concert alone makes it a pretty darn good one, but being there was really quite an experience. |

This little review is being written more than 2 years after I saw the show, so no guarantees. Mudhoney has broken up, and my ears stopped ringing some time ago. However the memories of this lovely night are still with me…ah yes, and how sweet they are. Being the Kansan and belated grunge fan that I am, I never thought that I would get to see a ‘real’ grunge show, let alone a Mudhoney show. |
